Innovation and cooperation in renewable hydrogen for
the POCTEP area

ACTIVITIES

Decarbonization of the energy and mobility sector

The AIHRE project responds to several challenges such as promoting the decarboniszation of the energy and mobility sector in the POCTEP area, or the specialiszation of small and medium-sized companies in innovative technologies and diversification, among other activities. AIHRE is committed to innovation in the generation of renewable hydrogen from local resources, the storage of renewable hydrogen, and the uses of hydrogen in different value chains.
Its nine partners will cooperate with research groups that generate knowledge in the sector, companies of interest or local and regional administrations to achieve their objectives.

Get to know our main activities

Characterisation of the research framework
AIHRE will identify the relevant actors in the green hydrogen value chain and the current state of technology, to define the opportunities and technological developments to promote its implementation in the cooperation area.
Development of tools for the design and management of renewable hydrogen systems
Models and algorithms necessary to carry out the sizing, control and management of renewable hydrogen systems representative of the POCTEP region will be designed and developed.
R&D in key technologies in the renewable hydrogen value chain
The project will promote research and development actions in technologies, products and services of the renewable hydrogen value chain. An additional objective will be the strengthening of the experimental capacities of the participating groups and the collaboration between them.
Analysis of application cases
In this activity, the definition, modeling and evaluation of business models for applying the renewable hydrogen value chain in the POCTEP region will be carried out.
Coordination
CIDAUT, as project coordinator, will guide the project towards achieving the established objectives and results, coordinating the development of the work and managing administrative tasks.
Visibility, transparency and communication
AIHRE's work will be disseminated among different audiences to inform and raise awareness about the importance of green hydrogen in the POCTEP region. Furthermore, its results will be used to ensure its continuity.
